If there is one promise that I can make, though I may not know exactly were I’m going, it is that the future is bright and that it won’t be boring! Everyone wants to know “what’s next?” Keeping up with everyone’s expectations and peer pressure will kill you overtime — it stifles opportunities to find clarity, minimizes your chances of exploring because you view the space and time as an undeserved luxury and not an opportunity to evolve and grow, and bottom line, it leads to unhappiness and nothing wonderful ever happens in a place of discontentment. As a successful entrepreneur, I am asked “where are you going?” and “what’s next” more often than I am asked, “how are you doing?” Here’s my answer: my “next” will be intentional because I’m taking time to be both reflective and introspective, my next will be purposeful and profound because I’m far deeper than any cute photo suggests, my next will be consistent and reliable because stability is a key factor in a solid foundation that breeds growth, my next will make me feel as good on the inside as is reflected on the outside. Interpret and extrapolate from this as you wish. It’s applicable for me in every possible way and hopefully for you too. Being reactive is not always the best way to grow, and living in the unknown may cause your mind to wander, or your heart to find a true passion with great intention, but take time for yourself, to find intention and purpose, to explore, and grow so that you can take your life and career to the next level… I promise you, it won’t be boring.
